Today innumerable flowers have bloomed,
Have not many flowers blossomed today,
not in the floral garden but in mental arena.
Not in a bower, but in the grove of psyche?
Over then dewdrops oscillate swinging,
in that place, love's dewdrops have swayed
not unmindfully but deliberately.
Purposely, not lackadaisically.
The One who could never be attained,

towards whom there has never been will.
That which never was acquired,
The songs that could never be sung in life,
Toward which from shame was no desire–
they came as if very carefully.
The songs that were not sung in life,
That which was hidden amidst bud,
It's as if they only came most cautiously.
that bloomed as beautiful flower.

Coming secretly removing the shyness,
What in the bud had been concealed,
He poured honey in song after song.
In floral dress bloomed that thing.
The shame removed silently,
It dispensed honey with songs aplenty.

Phuteche ajike kata na phul is the 3048th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Phut́eche ájike kata ná phul
Upavane nay manovane
Duliche táy priitir shishir dodul
Ánamane nay jeneshune

Jáháke kakhano hayni páoyá
Láje jáhár páne hayni cáoyá
Jiivane je gán hayni gáoyá
Tárái jena elo santarpańe

Cápá chilo já mukuler májhe
Phut́ilo táhá kusumer sáje
Cupisáre saráye láje
Madhu d́hele dilo gáne gáne

Have not many flowers blossomed today,
Not in a bower, but in the grove of psyche?
in that place, love's dewdrops have swayed
Purposely, not lackadaisically.

That which never was acquired,
Toward which from shame was no desire–
The songs that were not sung in life,
It's as if they only came most cautiously.

What in the bud had been concealed,
In floral dress bloomed that thing.
The shame removed silently,
It dispensed honey with songs aplenty.
