Áloke tumi háso
Áṋdháre tumii bháso
Álo tamasári páre
Sure ráge práń bharile

যখন কেউ চাহে নাই
তুমি মোরে দেখিয়াছিলে
কাছে কেউ আসে নাই
তুমি ভালো বাসিয়াছিলে

তোমারই আঁখিতারায়
বসুধারা সুধা ঝরায়
অলকার অমরাদ্যুতি
অকাতরে ঢালিয়াছিলে

আলোকে তুমি হাসো
আঁধারে তুমিই ভাসো
আলো তমসারই পারে
সুরে রাগে প্রাণ ভরিলে

O Lord, when nobody wanted,
You looked at me.
When none came close,
You loved me.
In the pupil of Your eyes,
nectar of the world flows.
The heavenly immortal effulgence,
You poured on the afflicted.
You smile during light,
and shine in the darkness.
Beyond the light and darkness,
You filled life with melodies
and tunes.
