O lord, loving your path,
Only Your path observing,
keeping your ideation,
Your contemplation taking,
how many births of mine have passed.
I know not how much lifetime,
Remembering your path,
Cleaving, has gone of mine.
counting days with hope,
I remember just Your way;
the procedures of pain and pleasure
I count only hopeful days.
dance around you.
It dances round You solely,
you simply smile staying at distance,
Happiness-and-sorrow's rite.
destroying darkness with that smile.

but I know that you love me,
You merely smile from afar,
o everown dear.
But by that grin You rid the dark.
why do not you come close,
I know that myself You regard,
i cannot bear even the least gap.
Ever my own, hey the One I prize.
coming into mind, speak lovingly,

removing the memories of pain.
Close by why don't You come?
Even the least gap is not borne.
Having arrived in psyche, speak of love;
Agony's memory setting aside.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomári patha ceye
Tava bhávaná niye
Jániná kata janam
Kát́iyá geche ámár
Tomári patha smari
Áshári tithi guńi
Tomákei ghire náce
Duhkha sukher upacár

Dúre theke shudhu háso
Se hásite tamah násho
Jáni bhálo more báso
He priya cira ápanár

Kena náhi káche áso
Sahe ná lesh avakásho
Mane ese priiti bháśo
Sariye smrti vedanár

Only Your path observing,
Your contemplation taking,
I know not how much lifetime,
Cleaving, has gone of mine.
I remember just Your way;
I count only hopeful days.
It dances round You solely,
Happiness-and-sorrow's rite.

You merely smile from afar,
But by that grin You rid the dark.
I know that myself You regard,
Ever my own, hey the One I prize.

Close by why don't You come?
Even the least gap is not borne.
Having arrived in psyche, speak of love;
Agony's memory setting aside.
