My “I” feeling went floating
Gone afloat has my sense of 'I',
in the water of stream like flower.
Like a blossom upon current's water.
It is impossible to keep it
Keeping it close by did not thrive
held close continuously
Under endless bondage of matter.
in the bondage of inert substances.

Day and night in various thoughts,
In diverse ways both day and night,
I have been feeling so.
Knowledge had I desired
In the stream of thoughts
On a thought-stream's dearth entire,
devoid of anything,
The dyes applied, many hundreds.
hundreds and hundreds

of colors were put.
That same golden-caged 'I'-sense,
I was placed in a golden cage,
When it You did request,
when You called, and
You abducted and then kissing head
took to the top telling that
Said: "Color you did vanquish."
I should not get lost
in the colors.

Amar ami bhese geche is the 3132nd song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár ámi bhese geche
Sroter jale phuler mata
Jáyni rákhá táke káche
Jaŕ báṋdhane avirata

Dine ráte nánán bháve
Ceyechilum anubhave
Bháv saritár sab abháve
Rauṋ lágáte shata shata

Sonár kháṋcár sei je ámi
D́ákle kakhan táke tumi
Nile t́ene shiirśa cumi
Balle rauṋe háráoni to

Gone afloat has my sense of 'I',
Like a blossom upon current's water.
Keeping it close by did not thrive
Under endless bondage of matter.

In diverse ways both day and night,
Knowledge had I desired
On a thought-stream's dearth entire,
The dyes applied, many hundreds.

That same golden-caged 'I'-sense,
When it You did request,
You abducted and then kissing head
Said: "Color you did vanquish."
