According to Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar, Shiva is not only the father of Indian civilization but of all human civilization.[2] In devotional terms, Shiva is perceived as the first coming of Taraka Brahma, God as a universal savior.[3] (See also Krsna.)
Sarkar discusses Shiva at great length in his book, Namah Shivaya Shantaya.
