The tender reddish leaves, green they become;
The tender reddish leaves, green they become;
The green grass, become yellow-hued it does.
The grass green, yellow-hued become it does.
In the universe transpiring is a color-game,
In the universe transpiring is a color-game,
Comes crying for a moment, goes where lighthearted?
Comes crying for a moment, goes where lighthearted?

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Shukno pátárá krame jhare jáy
Nava kishalay hási jharáy
Anáhuta nútan ese dáṋŕáy
Puronorá dúre háráy

Ráuṋá kishalay hay shyámavarńa
Shyámal shaśpa hay piitavarńa
Rauṋer khelá caliyáche bhuvane
Keṋde áse kśańe háse kothá bhese jáy

Kona rauṋi jáy náko rákhá dhare
Aruń raktimábhá jábei sare
Shudhu tumi chile ácho thákiyá jábe
Sharań nilum tái tava páy

The dry leaves, regularly they get shed;
From the fresh and tender leaves exudes laughter.
Having come new and unhurt, they stand erect;
Lost to a remote place the old ones are defeated.

The tender reddish leaves, green they become;
The grass green, yellow-hued become it does.
In the universe transpiring is a color-game,
Comes crying for a moment, goes where lighthearted?

Upon the earth nothing colored is retained;
Morning sun's crimson glow will surely go away.
Only You had been, are at present, will always remain;
In consequence, at Your foot I took shelter.
