কাকে তুমি সাজাও ফুলে
রাজাও বাঁশী কার তরে

অহর্নিশি তোমার হাসি
ব্যথায় প্রলেপ দেয় যে আসি'
না দেখিয়াও ভালবাসি
তোমায় মনের মুকুরে

অনন্তকাল তুমি আছো
মন-যমুনায় মাতিয়েছো
সৃষ্টি-স্থিতি-লয়ে নাচো
কালাকালের বাহিরে

O the King of cowherd,
whom do You decorate with flowers
and what for You play the flute?
Day and night, Your smile brings
healing balm to my pains.
Even without physically seeing You,
I love You in the mirror of my mind.
You have been existing for eternity,
maddening my mental stream of Yamuna’.
You continue dancing in creation,
preservation and destruction,
both within and beyond time.
