Inside the forest is a pleasure grove;
Inside the forest is a pleasure grove;
An air of joy and high wind of dance is there.
An air of joy and wind of dance is there.
We hear seven hundred critiques,
We hear seven hundred critiques,
But we never lose our dignity;
But we never lose our dignity;
We go on being happy constantly.
We go on being happy constantly.

We have a deep affinity with the flowers.
With flowers great is our affinity;
We love them
As much as life swings, so much is our fancy.
and their pleasant peaceful environment
No fear, no shame have we; love is what we feel.
fills us with delight.
With God alone we stay very close.
We are afraid of none.
We shy away from none.
We simply love all
and live close to god.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Morá káj niye beṋce áchi
Nácte nácte jái vanke morá
Kát́h niye gharke phire ási

Vaner bhitare áche madhur bágán
Áche khushiir haoyá áche nácer túphán
Morá sát sha kathá shuńi
Tabu mánt́i náhi khui
Ánande sadá áchi báṋci

Phuler sauṋge moder suhág kata
Áche dulár jata bhálobásá tata
Morá d́ar bási ná láj bási ná bhálobási go
Tháki param puruśeri káchákáchi

We live for our mission.
Dancing, to the forest we go;
Bearing timber, we come back home.

Inside the forest is a pleasure grove;
An air of joy and wind of dance is there.
We hear seven hundred critiques,
But we never lose our dignity;
We go on being happy constantly.

With flowers great is our affinity;
As much as life swings, so much is our fancy.
No fear, no shame have we; love is what we feel.
With God alone we stay very close.
