On an effulgent winter evening,
On light-dripping autumn evening,
the mist of my mind
In the fog of my psyche,
did not let me recognise things properly,
Nothing did I get to see;
and i remained in darkness.
I was in a darkness gloomy.

Those symbolising effulgence
Light in hand came those for whom
came with a torch in their hands.
The emblem of light was theirs.
Due to ego and pride,
Enlisting with them to take leave,
I could not merge in them.
I could not, due to vanity.

The travellers of effulgence
With the light went those for whom
proceeded on with a torch in their hands.
Light's pilgrims were they.
Due to my weakness
Along with them to proceed,
I could not accompany them on their journey.
I could not, due to frailty.
