Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Betasa kuiṋje esechilo se je
Káhára lágiyá kichu bujhini
Cinite deyni jánite deyni
Ápanár kona kathá baleni

Shudhu hesechilo mukhapáne ceye
Amará mádhurii adharete niye
Ákásh vátás phelechilo cheye
Tabuo táke cinite párini

Cale gelo jabe ápanár káje
Smitálok májhe kusumer sáje
Nandita gáne spandita náce
Sediner kathá ájo bhulini

In the bamboo grove he had come,
what for, i could not understand at all.
he did not let me know or recognize;
neither he told anything himself.
he had simply smiled looking at my face,
carrying heavenly sweetness.
the scattered sky and air spoke,
still i could not recognize.
when he went away at his mission,
decorated with flowers in the illuminated
arena of smile with charming song
and vibrating dance, the event of that day
i have not forgotten till today.
