The spring season came
Phalgun had appeared;
and started swinging the mind.
It went on giving mind a swing.
Into the dry branches,
Upon withered branches, with leaves tender and fresh,
with the bunches of new leaves,
A new and sweet beauty did it provide.
it poured new beauty.

The mango branch became full of buds,
The mango boughs were flowering;
the bakul tree became full
Bakul blossoms infused beauty.
of floral decoration.
On the silk-cotton trees grow flowers red,
On sha’lmalii tree
And fire was bestowed by the bastard teaks.
colorful flowers bloomed

and kim’shuk tree with red flowers
Outdoors was Nature in a new-dyed dress;
poured fire. Outside the nature
And within mind, a forest stag dances.
is decorated with new color,
In this spring month, by honeyed excitement,
the wild stag started dancing
Everything of mine took He.
in the mind.
In this sweet impulse of the sweet season,
He has taken all that belonged to me.

Phagun esechilo is the 3050th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Phágun esechilo
Mane dolá diye gelo
Shukno d́ále kishalay dale
Notan suśamá d́hele dilo

Sahakár shákhá mukulita halo
Bakul puśpa shobháte bharilo
Shálmalii gáche ráuṋgá phul phot́e
Kiḿshuk vahni d́hálilo

Báhire prakrti navarauṋe sáje
Vana kurauṋga náce manomájhe
Madhumáse ei madhura áveshe
Sab kichu mor niye nilo

Phalgun had appeared;
It went on giving mind a swing.
Upon withered branches, with leaves tender and fresh,
A new and sweet beauty did it provide.

The mango boughs were flowering;
Bakul blossoms infused beauty.
On the silk-cotton trees grow flowers red,
And fire was bestowed by the bastard teaks.

Outdoors was Nature in a new-dyed dress;
And within mind, a forest stag dances.
In this spring month, by honeyed excitement,
Everything of mine took He.
