On this post winter morning with dropped dew droplets,

Many times I wanted to go away from that,

but I am unable to avoid that.  
But I can't evade a jot.
The yellow marigold flowers bloom.
 
The candramallika’ flower also blossom smilingly.

Breeze strikes the white kunda flowers;
Oh the [[:wikipedia:Chrysanthemum|chrysanthemum]], arisen has it.
the mind does not want to stay in home.  
On the [[:wikipedia:Jasminum polyanthum|white jasmine]], felt has been a wind!
O my heart’s beloved, where are You?  
To stay at home, mind wishes not.
I keep on crying uselessly for You.  
 
Are You unable to understand my pain?  
Oh where art Thou, my Heartthrob?
At the end of this autumnal ka’rtik month,  
On Your account bitterly in vain I sob.
why did not You come?
To figure out my anguish, can You not?

Kártik sheśeo kena ele ná

হেমন্তে ঝরা শিশিরবিন্দুতে
মন কী যে চায় কেন জানি না
দূরে সরে' যেতে চাই যতবার
এড়াতে কিছুতে পারি না

হলুদ গাঁদার ফুল ফুটেছে গো
চন্দ্রমল্লিকা হেসে' উঠেছে গো
সাদা কুন্দ ফুলে হাওয়া লেগেছে গো
ঘরে থাকিতে মন চায় না

মনের মানুষ তুমি আছো কুথা
তোমার তরে কেন্দে' মরি বৃথা
বুঝিতে পারো নাকি আমার ব্যথা
কার্তিক শেষেও কেন এলে না
