Synopsis
So what is your duty? Your duty is to move along the path of righteousness, along the path of beatitude. And when you have been doing so, all crude elements of this universe will be converted, first, into ectoplasmic stuff, and in the second phase, into the form of the cognitive faculty; that is, slowly you will become one with Him. And when your mind gets completely apexed, you will be completely one with Him.
Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that whenever an action is taking place, three factors exist: the act of doing, the doer, and the deed. He then explains that there must be a fourth factor, and that is the witnessing part. It can be a physical counterpart, like an optical nerve in the act of seeing. Anandamurti goes on explaining that the witness of the mind is the atman (soul), and the witness of all the souls is the Supreme Soul. So our duty as spiritual aspirants is to convert our existence and become one with that Supreme Soul.[1]
