Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Krśńa
Sakaler áṋkhi chalachal
Akále bádal námlo kena bal
Ámi to temani áchi khushiite náci,
Álo jhala mala

Vrajavásii
Shuńechi jáccho cale moder phele
Tumi mathuráya
Bháviyá ákul hiyá tái to morá keṋde mari háy

Krśńa
Duśtadamane shiśt́apálane
Jete mathuráy ámi avical
Mane mane vrndávane satata áchi
Jeno prati pal

Krśńa
Why are your eyes full of tears?
It is not the rainy season;
so why do you cry?
I am the same as always,
dancing with joy in radiant light.
So why do you cry?

People of Vraja
We have heard that you are going away
and leaving us.
You are going to mathura'.
Thinking about this,
with painful hearts we are crying.

Krśńa
To restrain the moralists,
to protect the good people,
I am determined to go to mathura'.
You should know by now that mentally
I am always with you in vrindavana.
