Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bhramar káche ese ámár cáripáshe
Gun guniye e kathá geche bole
Tumi ácho base mor d́ákár áshe
Tomáy ámi keno gechi go bhúle

Kehai jiivane cetane ánmane
Tomáy bhule jete páre ná kabhu
Shayane svapane ninde jágarańe
Sabár saunge ácho go prabhu

Tákáte náhi jáni trut́i je náhi máni
Jeneo náhi jáni bhási akúle

Dine áse jáy phire náhi cáy
Kothá cale jáy náhi jáni
Saunge niye jáy katháy vyatháya
Bhará mamatáy jata váńii
Marme dhará dáo
Manane shonáo
Tumii theke jáo sab gele

The honeybee came close,
and, buzzing around me, told me a message.

(it told that) you were sitting alone
and were expecting my call,
(it asked) why i had forgotten about it?

Nobody in life can ever forget you,
be it consciously or unconsciously.

O lord, with all you are everpresent
in dream, in sleep or in the awakened state.

Even after seeing, we (consciously) overlook,
and do not admit our mistake.
Thus knowingly ignoring,
we go on floating (in the void) unable to find an abode.
Days come and go, and never return.
Whereto they go, we do not know.
Affectionate words painfully vanish into oblivion.

O lord, remain in the core of my heart,
and, speaking mentally to me,
continue staying even after all others have left.
