Notes
- ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
- ^ Tárá (তারা) is a name for the goddess Durga (দুর্গা), a female deity in the Hindu Tantrik tradition, who allegedly kills demons and brings both victory and prosperity. Here the author, who did not endorse religion or religious deities, is no doubt using this concept in a figurative sense.
