Notes
- ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
- ^ Shiva is known by many names. One of those names is Dhúrjat́i (ধূর্জটি). The name is essentially a description of Shiva, based on the depiction of His hair, matted and with chignon on the top of the head (pointing upward).[2]
- ^ Another name of Shiva is Nádatanu (নাদতনু). Náda is the primordial sound, the omkara. And tanu signifies the embodiment of that. On occasion, Sarkar himself translated Nádatanu as "music personified".[3]
