Synopsis
In this chapter Anandamurti discusses the three factors of spiritual elevation or Agragati. Agragati depends on three factors – prańipáta, pariprashna and sevá.[1]
Prańipáta means complete surrender to the Eternal Entity, Parama Purusa.[1]
Pariprashna means the questions or issues those are related to and responsible for a person's spiritual elevation.[1]
Sevá means "selfless service". When a person is doing Sevá, (s)he should do it selflessly, without expecting any return. If someone expects something in return of his Sevá, it mighte be business, but it can not be considered as a Sevá work.[1]
Then Anandamurti discusses prapatti and aprapatti. Prapatti means "full self-submission", In this expression, a devotee feels— "everything is done by Paramátman, by the Divine Entity". On the other hand Aprapatti means the mental attitude that all is done by individuals.[1]
With these three factors, a person will be will get spiritual elevation. Except for these, nothing else will benefit in any way.[1]
