Tumi esechile
Práńer chonyá diye cale gele
Ámi ghumiye chilum
Kena se ghum ámár ná bháḿgále

Tandráy ket́eche jiivan,
Chanda chilo ná takhan
Parash pelum tomár ghumer ghore
Se parash sarváunge buliye dile

Bujhechi tumi ámár
Ár keu nay ápanár
Sabái bhuliyá jáy
Tumi bholo náko kona kále

তুমি এসেছিলে
প্রাণের প্রাণের ছোঁয়া দিয়ে চলে’ গেলে
আমি ঘুমিয়ে ছিলুম
কেন সে ঘুম আমার না ভাঙ্গালে

তন্দ্রায় কেটেছে জীবন
ছন্দ ছিল না তখন
পরশ পেলুম তোমার ঘুমের ঘোরে
সে পরশ সর্বাঙ্গে বুলিয়ে দিলে

বুঝেছি তুমিই আমার
আর কেউ নয় আপনার
সবাই ভুলিয়া যায়
তুমি ভোল নাকো কোন কালে

O lord, you had come
and after proving a heartfelt touch, went away.
i was in sleep,
why did not you break my slumber?
my life passed in drowsiness,
there was no rhythm then.
During my deep sleep, i got your touch,
which passed all over my body.
i understand that You are mine.
nobody else is my own.
all forget me but you never forget.
