Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tamasá sheśe álor deshe
Tomáke pelum avasheśe
Prathame cinini tumio baloni
Gán shune bujhechi sureri reshe

Dhará dite cáo náko keno bújhe ot́há dáy
Bhávo ki asuvidhá hobe táháte liiláy
Ańu rúpe ácho tumi anurágii ceye jáy
Tái dekhe kii ele nava tara veshe

Jakhan jekháne tháko jábe jethá áso tumi
Tomáre barite cái kot́i kot́i prańami
Bháver atiita tiire abháver parapáre
Eso mor áro káche mohan veshe

At the end of the darkness,
in the arena of light,
I found You lastly.
At first, I did not identify You,
You also did not speak,
after hearing the song only
as after effect of the melody,
I could understand.
Why You do not want to come
into the fold,
understanding that is difficult.
Do You think that by that
there would be inconvenience
in Your divine play, liila’?
You are present in the subtlest form
and the devotees would go on desiring You,
is it due to that You came
in the newer adornment?
Wherever You reside, whenever You come,
I want to adore You,
with millions of salutations.
At the shore beyond thoughts,
and beyond all shortages,
come closer to me in charming adornment.
