Sroter jale phuler mata
Jáyni rákhá táke káche
Jaŕ báṋdhane avirata

Dine ráte nánán bháve
Ceyechilum anubhave
Bháv saritár sab abháve
Rauṋ lágáte shata shata

Sonár kháṋcár sei je ámi
D́ákle kakhan táke tumi
Nile t́ene shiirśa cumi
Balle rauṋe háráoni to

আমার আমি ভেসে' গেছে
স্রোতের জলে ফুলের মত
যায়নি রাখা তাকে কাছে
জড়-বাঁধনে অবিরত

দিনে রাতে নানান ভাবে
চেয়েছিলুম অনুভবে
ভাব-সরিতার সব অভাবে
রঙ্‌ লাগাতে শত শত

সোনার খাঁচার সেই যে আমি
ডাকলে কখন তাকে তুমি
নিলে টেনে' শীর্ষ চুমি'
বললে রঙে হারাওনি তো

My “I” feeling went floating
in the water of stream like flower.
It is impossible to keep it
held close continuously
in the bondage of inert substances.
Day and night in various thoughts,
I have been feeling so.
In the stream of thoughts
devoid of anything,
hundreds and hundreds
of colors were put.
I was placed in a golden cage,
when You called, and
took to the top telling that
I should not get lost
in the colors.
