O lord, today i invoke you
Yourself am I inviting,
with the invitation of light.
Now with the light summoning;
you come to my home.
At My house you please appear.
i have made decoration,
With flowers in tender leaf and with buds smiling,
layer by layer with tender leaves,
I have decorated tier by tier.
flowers and smiling buds.

I have not made any flaw in decoration,
As to arrangements do I make no flaw;
and kept the door of the heart open.
Only open have I kept the gate of heart.
on the passage of window, in free air,
Through window, upon air free-flowing,
i have kept the fragrance filled.
A sweet scent I've kept replete.
all the buds collected in the mind,

are filled with the sweetness of honey.
"In mind, whatever buds are piled there,
they will all bloom with joy, to please You.
Full have they stayed with sweetness of honey.
At Your touch, they will blossom happily;
Yourself having pleased."

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áhván kari tomáre
Áj álor nimantrańe
Tumi eso ámár ghare
Kishalaye phule smita mukule
Sájáyechi thare thare

Sájánor kona trut́i kari nái
Hiyár duyár rekhechi kholái
Vátáyan pathe mukta váyute
Surabhi rekhechi bhare

Manete jata kali jamá áche
Madhu mádhurjye púrńa rayeche
Tomár parashe phut́ibe haraśe
Tomáre trpta kare

Yourself am I inviting,
Now with the light summoning;
At My house you please appear.
With flowers in tender leaf and with buds smiling,
I have decorated tier by tier.

As to arrangements do I make no flaw;
Only open have I kept the gate of heart.
Through window, upon air free-flowing,
A sweet scent I've kept replete.

"In mind, whatever buds are piled there,
Full have they stayed with sweetness of honey.
At Your touch, they will blossom happily;
Yourself having pleased."
