Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ákásher tárá bale ekmátra
Ekmátra sei sáthii
Dharańiir dhúlikańá nece bale
Bale táre cái diváráti

Sumanda pavane malay kahe
Se cháŕá ár keha náhi
Sindhura bandhura laharii bahe
Tár páne shudhu sadá cáhi
Sudúr mahákásh jyotira kańár
Udbháse kare árati

Priitir ashru tár shishir kańá
Varaśár dhárá tár sneha mamatá
Phuler surabhi paráge mele d́áná
Anante bahe jáy tár váratá
Mánav maner prati ańu geye jáy
Janam janame se je atithi

O lord,
the star in the sky
recounts that you are my only companion.

The dust of the earth dances
and conveys
my day and night long longing for you.

The soft sandal breeze admits
there is no other existence than yours.

The waves accompanying the ocean rumor
they want that one entity only.
The sparkling of light in the distant sky,
passing through rainfalls,
display his love and affection.

The pollen of floral fragrance,
carrying his message,
float adrift into infinity.
Each atom of the human mind
sings the glory of the one
who has been guest life after life.
