Vátáyan bandha kare
Argal diyechi dváre

Bheve jetum maner májhe
Já bujhi tá keu ná bojhe

আলোকের এই উত্তরণে
মরণ কূপে জীবন রূপে
কে তুমি এলে
আমার আঁধার ঘরের দুয়োর খুলে’
সামনে দাঁড়ালে

বাতায়ন বন্ধ করে’
অর্গল দিয়েছি দ্বারে
(আমি) ঘুমিয়েছিলুম আঁধার ঘরে
