Ajáná rágete bájáo viińá

Diighir jale jabe kamal phot́e
Cáṋder álo jakhan dhuloy lot́e
Jágarańe jáy nidrá t́ut́e
Tomár se mádhurii bhulibo ná

Tumi áŕále thekeo sab kichu je
Gopan theke mohan báṋshii báje
Eká tumi ácho anek sáje
Anek náme rúpe chande náná

আমি তোমায় জানি
এ কথা বলিতে পারিবো না

চেনা হয়েও তুমি অজানা গো
অজানা রাগে (??রাগেতে) বাজাও বীণা

দীঘির জলে যবে কমল ফোটে
চাঁদের আলো যখন ধুলোয় লোটে
জাগরণে যায় নিদ্রা টুটে
তোমার সে মাধুরী ভুলিবো না

তুমি আড়ালে থেকেও সব কিছু যে
গোপন থেকে মোহন বাঁশী বাজে
একা তুমি আছো অনেক সাজে
অনেক নামে রূপে ছন্দে নানা

O lord, i know you
this fact i am unable to utter.

Although you are acquainted,
You are unknown.
You play the viin'a' to unknown melodies.

When the lotus blooms in the water of the pond,
when moonlight spreads on particles of dust,
and sleep becomes interrupted by awakening,
I do not forget that sweetness of yours.

Although you remain hidden
You are in everything.
Your enchanting flute
resounds from secret places.

In uncountable costumes,
names, forms and rhythms
You are unique.
