Áṋdhára nisháy ámári hiyáy
Álo kare tumi esechile
Mananera prati ańu trasareńu
Táhári doláy ájo dole

Patanottháne jiivanadhárá cale
Kona yati cihna báṋdhiyá náhi phele
Tomár chande dhará chande bhará go
Mananer jyoti táte sadá jvale

Ásiyácho yadi tháko niravadhi
Hiyára gahane chat́á phele

আঁধার নিশায় আমারই হিয়ায়
আলো করে তুমি এসেছিলে
মননের প্রতি অণু-ত্রসরেণু
তাহারই দোলায় আজও দোলে

পতনোত্থানে জীবনধারা চলে
কোন যতি-চিহ্ন বাঁধিয়া না ফেলে
তোমার ছন্দে ধরা ছন্দে ভরা গো
মননের জ্যোতি তাতে সদা জ্বলে

আসিয়াছো যদি থাকো নিরবধি
হিয়ার গহনে ছটা ফেলে

At darkest night into my heart,
Bringing light You came;
And every grain and granule of my thought
Still sways on that divine litter today.

With rise and fall, the stream of life proceeds;
The punctuation marks never impede.
By Your will, the world is filled with rhythm;
In that rhythm, the luster of intellect is ever bright.

When You have come, stay forevermore;
In the remote regions of my heart, emanate Your splendor.
