The nymph came
A divine nymph has arrived;
and approached the flowers.
Toward the flower she does fly,
Fly, fly, fly.
Psyche she knows how to recognize;
Having seen mind full of love, she does hie,
Hie, hie, hie.

It recognised the minds,
Flowers had wanted her from age to age.
and, full of love, rushed onto them.
To take as their own, with nectar they'd craved;
Now their every hope, realized it was made.
Nymph divine, with eyes open, she does gaze,
Gaze, gaze, gaze.

For ages,
All hope had lain hidden inside human psyche.
the flowers had wanted to make the honey their own.
Prayer and desire were at core of heart residing;
To fulfil their desires,
With every private thought, love was outpouring.
the nymph aspired to open their eyes.
Nymph divine, with devotion, she does sing,

Sing, sing, sing.
On all the desires,
that had been kept hidden in the human mind
it poured love
and sang with affection.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Apsará eseche
Phuler páne se je jáy
Jáy jáy jáy
Manke cinte se jáne
Priitibhará man dekhe dháy
Dháy dháy dháy

(Táke) Phulerá ceyechilo juga juga dhare
Madhute ceyechilo nite ápanár kare
Táder sakal áshá púrńa kare
Apsará áṋkhi mele cáy
Cáy cáy cáy

Mánava manete jata áshá chilo lukiye
Vásaná kámaná chilo marma nilaye
Sakal kathá bheve priiti d́hele diye
Apsará anuráge gáy
Gáy gáy gáy

A divine nymph has arrived;
Toward the flower she does fly,
Fly, fly, fly.
Psyche she knows how to recognize;
Having seen mind full of love, she does hie,
Hie, hie, hie.

Flowers had wanted her from age to age.
To take as their own, with nectar they'd craved;
Now their every hope, realized it was made.
Nymph divine, with eyes open, she does gaze,
Gaze, gaze, gaze.

All hope had lain hidden inside human psyche.
Prayer and desire were at core of heart residing;
With every private thought, love was outpouring.
Nymph divine, with devotion, she does sing,
Sing, sing, sing.
