Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bhálo básiyá cale gele
Mor kathá kena gele bhule
Púrńimá cáṋde kśańik dekháye
Megher áŕále d́heke dile

Vasante smita phuladala pare
Nidághánal kena jhare paŕe
Malayánile madhura parashe
Kálbaeshákhii dile t́hele

Sharat suniil nirmeghákáshe
Kujjhat́iká kothá hate áse
Snigdha shiital shephálii suváse
Vajrer jválá diye gele

Holding me dear, You departed;
Why to go, scorning my words?
Showing full moon for an instant,
You hid it behind cloud-curtain.

In the spring, on smiling flower petals
A fiery heat, why does it fall?
With gentle breeze, with a sweet touch,
April stormclouds You did thrust.

On autumn's cloud-free, azure sky,
From where does the fog arrive?
With sweet scent of horsinghar,[nb 2] cool and soothing,
You retired, giving me a thunderbolt's hot agony.
