Dhará devár chale
Kena karile liilá

Katai je jáno liilá
Rauṋe rúpe kata khelá

ভালো যদি না বাসিতে
মৃদু মধু না হাসিতে
তবে তোমাকে পেতে
হতুম না উতলা

কেন ভালোবেসেছিলে
কেনই বা হেসেছিলে
ধরা দেবার ছলে
কেন করিলে লীলা

কতই যে জানো লীলা
রঙে রূপে কত খেলা
অম্বুধারার রাগে
অনুরাগেতে ঢালা

লীলা ছলে আসো কাছে
এসে’ বসো মনোমাঝে
লীলাতেই যাও সুদূরে
বোঝো না হিয়ার জ্বালা

O lord,
if you did not love me nor smiled softly,
then, to attain you,
I would not have frenzied.

Why did you love me
and why did you smile,
to bind me to your fold in delusion?
Why did you play your divine game with me?

How much divine game do you know?
How many sports with colours and forms
flow in your stream?

You come close in divine delusion,
and on coming,
You sit in my mind.
Then, you go far away
and that is why
You do not understand my pain.
