On the path of movement so many thorns lie.
So many thorns on the footpath...
Why is that?
Why is that, I don't grasp.
I am unable to understand it.
My time that goes in clearing thorns;
Could have been used for doing work.

The time spent in lifting up those thorns
When obstructions come in the lead,
could have been utilised in work.
That wakens power, so I hear.
With Your zeal the mind gets filled;
Mayhap that's why You give so many obstacles.

I have heard that if obstructions come
If darkness were not present,
in a full fledged way,
Light's worth, who would comprehend?
it arouses energy.
With pain and sorrow distressed,

Mind understands joy's abundance.
Then, in your ideation
console me
the reason for so much obstruction.

If darkness was not there,
the value of light would not be understood.

The distressed mind only
understands the magnitude of bliss.
