Tumi esechile mor tare
Bhálabásá cokhe chilo meshá
Mrdu hási chilo adhare

Cáṋpár surabhi bhese calechilo
Digvalaye dolá ditechilo
Sei surabhite mamatá priitite
Tumi mákhá chile sudhásáre

Ámi calechinu vana path dhare
Tomáke pávár áshá mane bhare
Udvel hiyá dekheni bháviyá
Mane raye gecho abhisáre

চম্পক বনে গভীর গহনে
তুমি এসেছিলে মোর তরে
ভালবাসা চোখে ছিল মেশা
মৃদু হাসি ছিল অধরে

চাঁপার সুরভি ভেসে' চলেছিল
দিগ্বলয়ে দোলা দিতেছিল
সেই সুরভিতে মমতা-প্রীতিতে
তুমি মাখা ছিলে সুধাসারে

আমি চলেছিনু বন পথ ধরে'
তোমাকে পাবার আশা মনে ভরে'
উদ্বেল হিয়া দেখেনি ভাবিয়া
মনে রয়ে গেছ অভিসারে

O lord, into the dense depth
of the garden of campak flowers,
you came for me.
in your eyes love was mixed,
and soft smile was at your lips.
the fragrance of campa’ was
floating in the air,
resonating in all directions of horizon.
in that fragrance, with affection and love,
you had smeared the essence of nectar.
i was walking through the forest path,
harboring in the mind hope of attaining you.
the overwhelming heart did not see you
and the rendezvous remained in mind only.
