Upon your neck lies the garland of the three-layered universe,  
Ever restless, stern as lightning,
shining with the sweetness of absorption.  
Strictly formal, You are the heart-thief.
On Your face, a glow heavenly
Intoxicates by holding high both virtue and beauty.


Ever restless,  
Within rhythm speaking much but attribute-free,
extremely hard,
The singular Shiva, Master of everybody...
bound by your own law,  
Never are You ceding defeat
You are the charming stealer of mind.  
To any devil's foolish audacity.
 
There is heavenly effulgence on your face.  
 
You intoxicate the world
and bring the charm of your beauty and attributes to it.  
Though you are beyond attributes,
You still express yourself though rhythms.
 
O singular shiva!
O lord!
 
You never accept defeat from the foolish challenges of devils.

  2. ^ In the Sargam, these two words are reversed. Hence, they are also reversed in the audio rendition. However, in the latest Bengali edition[2] a correction has been made, presumably for poetic reason. Here, the latest Bengali is preferred.

Currently, only one audio file is available. However, in addition to the words reversed in the third line of the second verse, the last word of the first and second lines of that same verse are also sung incorrectly. Hence, a new audio recording is required.
