Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Cetanáshaláká sáthe madhumáliká háte
Esechile kata ráte
Bhule gechi ámi bhule gechi
Tamasáy gherá cokhe aiṋjana dile eṋke
Doś guń náhi dekhe ele jáci

Tomár áloke dhará madhur hayechilo
Tomár parashe práń mukharatá peyechilo
Tomár haraśe sárá jagat jegechilo
Sab hiyá ek sáthe ut́hila náci

Tandrákátar áṋkhi shalákár sudhá mákhi
Sabáre sádare d́áki tava dhará debe raci

With the torch of consciousness,
and a sweet garland in hand,
You came at night.
When that was... i have forgotten.

You applied balm on my darknessfilled eyes.
You came uninvited,
irrespective of my good and bad qualities.

By your light, the earth became sweetly illuminated.
By your touch, life found expression.
By your joy, the world awakened.
All hearts started dancing as one.

Once drowsy eyes, are now absorbed in nectar.
In them, your considered call
reflects a world that you have chosen.
