O my Bandhu, Ever Companion,
Abiding Friend for all time,
coming close, break my sleep.
Coming near, break my sleep.
If I am engrossed in the
When I stay whelmed by worldly thought,
materialistic thoughts, wake me up.
Kindly do awaken me.
Nothing is unknown to You,

as You always pervade each pore.
Unknown to You there is naught;
Forgetting You I am lost in matter,
You are ever in each pore.
hence pulling me bring to the proper path.
Ignoring You, in static matter I get lost;
This divine play, liila’,
Unto the path please drag me.
is without beginning and end.

Searching You is most difficult.
Amid this [[:wikipedia:Lila (Hinduism)|liila]] without start or finish,
The delusion does permit me to see anything,
Having been in search of You, how hard it is!
You kindle the lamp.
Delusion gives not a glimpse;
Oh You, ignite a lantern please.

Cirakaler bandhu is the 3002nd song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Cirakáler bandhu
(Nikat́e ese) Ghum bháuṋgio
Jaŕeri bhávanáy jadi mete tháki
Jágiye dio

Kichui tomár ajáná nái
Randhre randhre ácho sadái
Tomáy bhule jaŕe hárái
T́ene pathe ánio

Anádi asheś e liiláy
Tomáy khoṋjá haye ot́he dáy
Bhránti kichu dekhte ná dey
Tumi diipak jválio

Abiding Friend for all time,
Coming near, break my sleep.
When I stay whelmed by worldly thought,
Kindly do awaken me.

Unknown to You there is naught;
You are ever in each pore.
Ignoring You, in static matter I get lost;
Unto the path please drag me.

Amid this liila without start or finish,
Having been in search of You, how hard it is!
Delusion gives not a glimpse;
Oh You, ignite a lantern please.
