O lord,
On the distant sky, o'er the morning breeze,
You are the singular entity
Mid a fest of light, You stand unique.
in the festivity of light.
Ever treading my path abstractedly,
You reside in the morning breeze
New states are seen in Your company.
and in the distant sky.

While walking unmindfully on your path,
Flooding both banks, a river current
I encountered you in a new form.
Rushes upstream with deep devotion.
Heart-winning sweetness is descending;
In Your love a recluse feels complete.
Invitations dispatched from depth of mind,
With white sandal{{#tag:ref|In the Hindu tradition, white sandal paste signifies purity.|group="nb"}} are they piously inscribed.

The river water floods both banks
Strewn about are streaks of light
and rushes upstream in the intensity of love.
Inside jeweled halls of every mind.

Privately, heart's harp is playing
By your love,
Honey-coated melodies unknowingly.
sweetness was filled into void hearts.

For the invocation of whom,
has the pious inscription been written down,
in the depth of mind,
with white sandalpaste?

Flashes of light are being scattered
into the chamber of gems
of all minds.

In isolation, the instrument of the heart
is playing an unknown,
yet nectarfilled melody.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Dúr ambare prabháta samiire
Álor meláy tumi eká
Ánmane pathe calite calite
Navabháve tava sáthe dekhá

Tat́iniir jal dukúla pláviyá
Ujáne chút́eche anuráge
Hrdaya vyápiyá mádhurii námiyá
Vijane bharilo tava ráge
Kár áváhane manera gahane
Shveta candane shucilekhá

Álor jhalak t́hikre paŕeche
Sabár maner mańikot́há májhe
Hiyá tantriite bájilo nibhrte
Ajánte sur sudhá mákhá

On the distant sky, o'er the morning breeze,
Mid a fest of light, You stand unique.
Ever treading my path abstractedly,
New states are seen in Your company.

Flooding both banks, a river current
Rushes upstream with deep devotion.
Heart-winning sweetness is descending;
In Your love a recluse feels complete.
Invitations dispatched from depth of mind,
With white sandal[nb 2] are they piously inscribed.

Strewn about are streaks of light
Inside jeweled halls of every mind.
Privately, heart's harp is playing
Honey-coated melodies unknowingly.
