Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Eso ámár hrdaye eso
Áṋdhár ghare tomár tare
Káṋdi álo niye eso

Ei tamasáy tumii álo
Ákásh bhuvan káloy kálo
Kájlá ráter ei áṋdhárer
Marme sońá jhará háso

Kálor randhre álor ghat́á
Anur májhe jágáy chat́á
Sakal vyathár sab háhákár
Sariye cidákáshe bháso

O lord,
come, come into my heart.
I am crying for you in the dark house.
Come with light.
You are the sole light for this darkness.
The sky and the world are black with darkness.

During this darkness of the black night,
within core of my mind, smile with golden effulgence.
Through the bright gaps of dark clouds,
awakens beauty within the unit mind.
Removing all lamentations of all pains,
appear in the firmament of my mind.
