Eso phire abar phire is the 284th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Eso phire ábár phire
Moder manke bhariye diye
Práńer pradiip jváliye diye
Phuler shobháy patha sájiye

Tomár ásár apekśáte
Raibo base áji hate
Guńbo je kál pale pale
(Ábár) Gáibo kabe tomáy niye

Ei sukher smrti mánaspat́e
Raibe sadái jhalamaliye

Come back, come back again.
Fill our heart;
Light our lifelamp.
Adorn our path with exquisite flowers.

Anticipating Your arrival,
We now await.
We'll count the time, moment by moment,
Till once again we shall sing with Thee.

This happy reflection on the canvas of our mind,
It will endure, ever bright.

Context

Shrii Sarkar was scheduled to leave Ranchi for Kolkata on the following day. On behalf of the Ananda Margiis from Ranchi, Dr. Amar Nath Chakravarty, Sarkar's attendant during the medical operations, requested a song that would ask Sarkar to return soon. Sarkar gave this song on the spot. After singing the song, Sarkar said it is a farmaishi song, a song composed on request. As such, Sarkar stated that the song may not be included in the collection of Prabhat Samgiita. On the subsequent pleading of the Margiis, Sarkar accepted this song as part of the collection.[3]
