Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Eso tumi mor ghare
Duhát báŕiye svágat jánái
Práńer priya tumi dúre theko ná
Tumi cháŕá mor keha nái

Miiner káche jal tuśáre himácal
Shuktite muktá áṋkhipáte kájal
Emani ámár tumi he priiti samujjval
Tái tava gán geye jái

Kena je bhálabáso kichui jáni ná
Kabe káche t́ániyácho táháo ajáná
Jáni shudhu ámi tava kalpaná
Er beshii jánite ná cái

O lord, you come to my home,
i express welcome extending both my hands.
O the dearest, do not stay away.
there no one else for me other than you.
like water for fish,
snow for ice peaked mountain,
pearl within oyster,
and dark decoration of the eyes,
You are my own, o the bright love,
hence i go on singing your song.
why this love, i do not know at all.
When shall you pull me close,
that also is unknown.
i only know that i am your imagination,
more than that i do not want to know.
