The fairy came smilingly
Ankle-bells of dried leaves on its feet,
and took away the pa'rul flower.
A gusty wind from the southwest has appeared,
Dewdrops melted into tears,
Its clarion facing northeast
swinging to and fro.
With music of calamity.

The myna bird witnesses this
In company with beat of trees, persimmon and palmyra,
but does not speak,
On that night the tuberoses
as it cannot tolerate such agony.
Fall demolished in great slaughter,
Under the grimace of Shiva Ferocious.

The grown-up peacock,
Keeping aloof from blame or praise,
wearing ornaments,
The hurricane has run amuck, intoxication-swayed.
says that it has made a mistake
But inside the black clouds' many gaps,
by not observing.
Is the light-stream's chariot in single combat.

Nailed in the throat,
the parrot speaks to candana'
in the water-soaking gram.

The bathed kakatua stands
and wonders where is parul.
It is not seen anymore.

Hese hese parii ese is the 1541st song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Hese hese parii ese
Niye gelo párul phul
Cokher jale gale gale
Shishir dole dodul dul

Mayná dekhe kay ná kathá
Say ná je tár eman vyathá
Gayná pará syayná mayúr
Bale dekhi ni halo bhul

Galáy káṋt́i t́iyá bale
Candanáke cholár jale
Náiye kákátuyár dáṋŕe
Takáini kotháy párul

Ankle-bells of dried leaves on its feet,
A gusty wind from the southwest has appeared,
Its clarion facing northeast
With music of calamity.

In company with beat of trees, persimmon and palmyra,
On that night the tuberoses
Fall demolished in great slaughter,
Under the grimace of Shiva Ferocious.

Keeping aloof from blame or praise,
The hurricane has run amuck, intoxication-swayed.
But inside the black clouds' many gaps,
Is the light-stream's chariot in single combat.
