the shade of trees fades

This bond of heart is a sweet enchantment;

In the sweet and enchanting bondage of our hearts
In the same sky is just one moon, just one sun,
the distinction between trees and sand ceases to exist.
Just one bugle and one kettle drum.
There is only one sky,  
Mind moves ahead in the single grand assemblage,
only one sun
To the cadence of dance, with offbeats glad or sad.

and only one trumpet.


With the festive one,
With prewinter's premonition in the wind, on the sky,
my mind rushes forward,
The northerly flights of geese, they arrive.
with the rhythm of dance,
On touch of frost or in sunlight of gold,
through gaps of pains and pleasures.
I hear my future lover calling in prolonged tones.
 
In the cold wind of winter,
the swans arrive from the northern sky.
 
In the touch of ice and in the golden sun,
I listen to my distant friend,
calling me with a prolonged sound.

Eki samárohe man jáy egiye
Nrtyera tále sukh duhkheri pháṋke

Hemante shirashire haoyáy ákáshe
Utture balákárá uŕe áse
Himel parashe ár sońálii rode
Shuńi dúrer bandhu pluta dhvanite d́áke

যায় তরুর ছায়া আসে মরুর মায়া
তবু ভালবাসি তোমাকে
এই হিয়ার বাঁধন মধুর মোহন
তরু-মরু ভেদ না থাকে

একই আকাশে একই শশী-সূর্য্য
একই দুন্দুভি একই তূর্য্য
একই সমারোহে মন যায় এগিয়ে
নৃত্যের তালে সুখ-দুঃখেরই ফাঁকে

হেমন্তে শিরশিরে হাওয়ায় আকাশে
উত্তুরে বলাকারা উড়ে’ আসে
হিমেল পরশে আর সোণালী রোদে
