Mor calár kabhu sheś náhi je pái

Phele ásá hiyár vyákulatá

কত কঠিন শিলা কত নুড়ি-ঢেলা
কাঁটায় ভরা কত বনভূমি চলিয়াছি চুমি
মোর চলার কভু শেষ নাহি যে পাই

সাদামাটা কত জীবন কথা
ফেলে আসা হিয়ার ব্যাকুলতা
গড়ে ওঠা গ্রামের মুখরতা
ভাঙ্গা হাটের নিঝুম নীরবতা
আশাহত বুকের মর্মব্যথা
চিতাভষ্মের কণার ইতিকথা
যাই সবাইকে নিয়ে আমি শুণিয়ে যাই
যাই তোমার ভালবাসার অভিযানে

O lord,
by your attraction
the stream of my life flows on.

It rushes on,
dancing in waves of various rhythms to your song.

I moved forward
kissing innumerable hard rocks.
I moved through pebbles, lumps,
and forests full of thorns.

I never found
the end of my journey towards you.

I witnessed
plain and simple lives,
felt the restlessness of the heart,
observed the reverberations
that originate from developing villages,
heard the intense silence of markets after closure,
came to know the agonies of distressed hearts,
and saw the history embedded in funeral ashes.

I move on with all,
on the journey of your love.
