Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Káche ese bhálabese
More tumi gecho je bhule
D́áki ni tomáy sádhi ni tomáy
Tabu tumi krpá karile

Máni náhi máni more d́áko
Shásane shudhre more rákho
Vimukh hayo ná prabhu hayo ná virúp
Mor práńe jeo ná dale

Mor práń tava dán jáni
Bhálabásá táo bujhi máni
Báhire kat́hor tumi bhitare komal
Marme e bhávaná dole

O lord, you came close and loved me,
but you forgot that.
i did not call You,
nor did i invoke you in sa’dhana’,
still you just showered your grace
by doing so.
Whether i accept or not,
you call me, attract me,
and by the discipline,
rectify me.
o' lord, you never be displeased (viru’p)
and turn away (vimukh) from me
crushing my heart.
i know that my life is simply your gift.
i also know and accept that you love me.
within my mind this feeling oscillates
that externally you are tough and internally soft.
