Káche eso jeo ná dúre
Tháko mor manke bhare
Saptaloker mańidyuti tumi
Áṋdháre jeo ná sare

Jáni mor mane tamasá apár
Sádhya sádhaná kichu náhi tár
Karuńáy tava bharasá ámár
Dhruvatárá andhakáre

Juktite kichu cáhite pári ná
Karuńá jácite náhi kona máná
Jugántare e mor eśańá
Susikta karo krpániire

কাছে এসো যেও না দূরে
থাকো মোর মনকে ভরে'
সপ্তলোকের মণিদ্যুতি তুমি
আঁধারে যেও না সরে'

জানি মোর মনে তমসা অপার
সাধ্য-সাধনা কিছু নাহি তার
করুণায় তব ভরসা আমার
ধ্রুবতারা অন্ধকারে

যুক্তিতে কিছু চাহিতে পারি না
করুণা যাচিতে নাহি কোন মানা
যুগান্তরে এ মোর এষণা
সুসিক্ত করো কৃপানীরে

O lord, come close, do not go far,
stay filling my mind.
you are the brilliance of gems from
all the seven arenas of the universe;
do not move away in the darkness.
i know that in my mind there is
unlimited darkness,
it has no spiritual goal
and endeavor for that.
i have only dependence on your mercy,
like polestar in darkness.
by reasoning, i am unable
to get any fulfillment,
but in seeking mercy
there is no restriction.
This earnest desire of mine
is since ages,
you moisten that
with the water of your grace.
