O lord, how much i continued calling you,
So much I've gone on calling Thee;
you did not listen and did not come.
No heed You paid, You did not come.
i have heard that you listen to
I keep hearing that You hark unto inmost secrets,
the feeling of the heart,
But inside my psyche maybe You don't lodge.
but you did not understand my mind.

i do not know whether you could hear
I don't know if You can listen;
or you do not want to reply.
Perhaps You don't give an answer.
this may be your divine play,
Or maybe You inflict anguish disguised as [[:wikipedia:Lila (Hinduism)|liila]]:
which is painful for me
Even though piercing ear, in the mind it entered not.
that my call enters your ears

but does not enter the core.
Pray tell, except for You who else belongs to me;
Baba, please tell me that
And that is why I shout in just Your vicinity.
except you who else is mine?
Even now what's been spoke, more has kept lingering;
that's why i open my heart to you.
I'll recount those anecdotes of heart's core.

Kata je deke gechi tomare is the 2207th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kata je d́eke gechi tomáre
Shono ni tumi áso ni
Shune tháki shono maneri kathá
Mor mane bujhi tháko ni

Jáni ná shunite páo ki ná páo
Athavá uttar náhi dáo
Kiḿvá liiláchale vyathá dáo
Káne pashileo mane pashe ni

Tumi cháŕá balo ke bá mor áche
Tái to shonái tomári káche
Já shonáte ájo báki raye geche
Shonábo sei marmakáhinii

So much I've gone on calling Thee;
No heed You paid, You did not come.
I keep hearing that You hark unto inmost secrets,
But inside my psyche maybe You don't lodge.

I don't know if You can listen;
Perhaps You don't give an answer.
Or maybe You inflict anguish disguised as liila:
Even though piercing ear, in the mind it entered not.

Pray tell, except for You who else belongs to me;
And that is why I shout in just Your vicinity.
Even now what's been spoke, more has kept lingering;
I'll recount those anecdotes of heart's core.
