Who has kindled light today,
Who are You Who ignites the beacon?
awakening tides in the ocean of beauty?
Now a flood tide's arose in the sea of form.
Who are You Who dispenses moonlight?
Now utter gloom's been made vigorously bright.

Who has poured out nectar,
Those disrespected, fallen by the wayside,
engendering a lively smile
With earth's dust they'd been made alike.
in the depth of darkness?
Now, in the new flow, they've run riot;
Artificial distinction's all been expunged.

Those who were lying uncared for in a corner,
The gate to effulgent avenue's been opened;
today, merged into the dust of the earth.
A knockout blow was given to deathly slumber.
In the intoxication of the new flow,
Those living as if they were somehow diminished,
all artificial distinctions were erased.
Their bondage of name and color has been abolished.

The door of the path of light opened up.
An blow of extreme magnitude
struck the deadly slumber.

The bondage of name and form
of those who were living like the dead,
dissolved into formlessness.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ke go álo jválo
Rúper ságare áj joyár jáglo
Ke go sudhá d́hálo
Andhatamisrá áj práńe háslo

Járá anádare końe paŕechilo
Dharár dhúláy mishe giyechilo
Nava srote tárá áj mátilo
Krtrim bhedábhed sab muche gelo

Álor sarańir dvár khule gelo
Marań ghume caram ághát hánlo
Járá jyánte mará haye paŕechilo
Táder nám rúper bandhan arúpe mishlo

Who are You Who ignites the beacon?
Now a flood tide's arose in the sea of form.
Who are You Who dispenses moonlight?
Now utter gloom's been made vigorously bright.

Those disrespected, fallen by the wayside,
With earth's dust they'd been made alike.
Now, in the new flow, they've run riot;
Artificial distinction's all been expunged.

The gate to effulgent avenue's been opened;
A knockout blow was given to deathly slumber.
Those living as if they were somehow diminished,
Their bondage of name and color has been abolished.
