Some flowers want to stretch out their arms

Some flowers want to thrust out their hands
To delay the autumn forever.

To retain autumn forever.

The spell of winter has not yet come,

The spell of winter has not yet come,

For autumn will not depart soon.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kichu phúl cáy hát báŕáte
Hemante sadá dhare rákhite
Shiiter ámej ájo áseni
Hemanta jái jái kareni
Gácher pátárá ájo jhareni
(Ámi) Ei pariveshe base gán geye jái
Tomáy satata jena kách theke pái

Shiiter áŕaśt́atá ajo áseni
Kuyásá ekhano cokhe bháseni
Kamalár van rauṋe háseni
(Ámi) Ei pariveshe base tomáke shudhái
Sadá kena bale tháka jái jái jái

Some flowers want to thrust out their hands
To retain autumn forever.
The spell of winter has not yet come,
For autumn will not depart soon.
The leaves have not yet fallen,
And in this atmosphere I sit and sing.
Let me feel You always near.

The dullness of winter is not yet here.
No mists float before my eyes.
In the lotus grove is no laughter or frolic.
Amidst this atmosphere I ask myself,
Why do You always say "I'm going, going, going"?
