Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bhule jáoyá bhore (kon)
Ele mor ghare
Cale gele dúre ár ele ná
Tárpar ámi kata divájámii
Keṋdechi ná thámi áṋkhi mochále ná

Eta nirmam jadi jánitám
Kichutei náhi bhálabásitám
Kenai bá ei bhul karilám
Áj bhálabásá phelá jáy ná

Je báṋdhane tumi beṋdhecho ámáre
Táháte ki tumi beṋdhecho nijere
Bhávo ni ki kona alasa prahare
Ek jan tomáre bhole ná

O lord,
in which forgotten past,
You visited my home
and went far away, never to return.
After that, how many days and nights,
I cried without pause?
But, you did not wipe the tears.

If i would have known you as so affectionless,
I would not have loved you at all.
How did i make such a mistake?

Today i cannot discard the love.
The bondage with which you have tied me,
by that have you tied yourself, too?
Do not you think during any leisure hours,
that one person has not forgotten you.
