O lord,
Surreptitiously, in thought-depths of the mind,
that you had come into the depth of mind
You had arrived;
nobody knew.
And no one knew of it.
You had brought along loads of ambrosia,
But that no one noticed.

That you had brought heaps of nectar with you,
You had bloomed with melody, tempo, and beat;
nobody realised.
You'd spoken through [[:wikipedia:Raga#Rāga-Rāgini_system|raga and raginii]].
Fast then slow, in music-measure secondary,
You had swelled in ecstasy.

You aroused melody, rhythm and tunes,
By Your own hand You'd ignited wisdom's flame;
and told about prosody and meters.
With love You'd let the zest for life pervade.
You appeared
Dissension among humans, You'd sent far away;
in frenzied slow, fast and medium rhythms.
Nectar You had made cascade.

With your own hands,
You kindled the flame of intuition,
and filled with love the earnestness of life.

You removed the distinctions between one human being and another,
drenching all with nectar.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Maneri manane gopane gahane
Tumi esechile
Keu jáne ni
Piiyúśa pasará sauṋge enechile
Keu tá dekheni

Sure tále laye phut́e ut́hechile
Rág ráginiite kathá kayechile
Druta vilambit mádhyamik tále
Mete ut́hechile

Prajiṋár shikhá nija háte jvelechile
Práńer ákuti priitite bharechile
Mánuśe mánuśe bhed dúr kare diye
Sudhá d́helechile

Surreptitiously, in thought-depths of the mind,
You had arrived;
And no one knew of it.
You had brought along loads of ambrosia,
But that no one noticed.

You had bloomed with melody, tempo, and beat;
You'd spoken through raga and raginii.
Fast then slow, in music-measure secondary,
You had swelled in ecstasy.

By Your own hand You'd ignited wisdom's flame;
With love You'd let the zest for life pervade.
Dissension among humans, You'd sent far away;
Nectar You had made cascade.
