Nandanavane ese cale gele
(Kotháy) Balo kotháy
Krpá karechile dhará diyechile
Cale gele keṋde din jáy

Dhará náhi dile karuńá kare
Káhár sádhya dharibe tomáre
Asmitá bháre jhuṋke bheuṋge paŕe
Shánti kichute náhi páy

Shántir ádhár tumi priyatama
Násh kare jáo jata moha tamah
Jhaŕ jhaiṋjháte ashaninipáte
Tomár álok jhalakáy

নন্দনবনে এসে' চলে' গেলে
(কোথায়) বলো কোথায়
কৃপা করেছিলে ধরা দিয়েছিলে
চলে' গেলে কেঁদে' দিন যায়

ধরা নাহি দিলে করুণা করে'
কাহার সাধ্য ধরিবে তোমারে
অস্মিতা ভারে ঝুঁকে' ভেঙ্গে' পড়ে
শান্তি কিছুতে নাহি পায়

শান্তির আধার তুমি প্রিয়তম
নাশ করে' যাও যত মোহ-তমঃ
ঝড়-ঝঞ্ঝাতে অশনিনিপাতে
তোমার আলোক ঝলকায়

At a pleasure grove You arrived and then left,
Whereto, please say where.
Graciously, embrace You'd granted;
Gone away, day passes in tears.

Had You not granted embrace, it's a kindness;
Who has power that will make You held?
Those abrim with egotism fall down bent and broken;
They don't find peace in the least.

Dearest, You are equanimity's foundation;
You keep purging all the gloom of infatuation.
Mid thunderclaps, in hurricane and tempest,
Coruscates Your light-beam.
