Nayane varasa ela is the 1247th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Nayane varaśá ela
Kena mrganayanii
Phul tulecha sur sedhecha
Se ki tabe áse ni

Támbuleri ráge rauṋin
Ośt́ádharer bháśá je kśiiń
Kon hatásháy sandhyábeláy
Sáṋjher sáje sája ni

Ákásh páne ceye ácha
Kabariir veńii khulecha
Mandákrántá tále tále
Shikhiire nácáo ni
Tumi sáṋjher shaṋkha bájáo ni

O deer eyed one,
why are your eyes full of tears?

You picked up flowers,
you rehearsed your melody,
and yet, he still did not come.

On lips coloured red with ta'mbul,
(betel leaves) why does your voice faint?

Tonight, under the impulse of what disheartment,
why have you not dressed up in your evening dress?

You have so long been looking at the sky
that the garland on your chignon became loosened.

With each rhythm of specific mandaka'nta' beats,
you do not entertain enthusiasm,
you did not blow your evening conch.
